Our fly fishing season is western Montana has officially come to an end this month as the last Montana Guiding Company boats hit the ramps a few weeks ago. It was a great season for us, culminating with a mild fall that let us extend our fishing window well into November. It’s always melancholic to look back at the year as winter tightens its grip and we take a break from fishing for a while.
