Welcome to the Montana Guiding Company Blog and Newsletter!.
A little bit about Montana Guiding Company: In 2011 I moved to Montana from the Midwest for school at The University of Montana. I started guiding fly fishing that next summer, and upon graduation in 2015 made a commitment to the guiding and outfitting world in Montana full time. I was the head guide and Manager for Latitudes Outfitting Company for the next seven years. I had so many great experiences, went to amazing places, and formed some special relationships during that time. In the last year of 2023, the time had come to make the transition from guide to outfitter and start my own outfitting company, and Montana Guiding Company was born.
MGC will primarily focus on outfitting the following rivers in western Montana: The Bitterroot, Blackfoot, Clark Fork, Missouri, and upper Rock Creek.. These are five of the best overall trout rivers in the lower 48, and also some of the most beautiful. However, there are plenty more great stretches of trout water in Montana and no doubt we will be conducting trips to those as well.
In the future, I will also be hosting destination fishing trips to destinations all over the country and the globe. This is something I did for Latitudes and it is a fantastic experience for the clients and also myself, as it gives us all the opportunity to fish and travel together around the world at some of the best lodges and outfits, without any extra charge than booking direct with those lodges and outfits.
This blog will serve as a regularly updated newsletter of current happenings, fishing and hunting travel, fishing reports and more from Montana Guiding Company. Check out our new website at www.montanaguidingcompany.com and reach out anytime at 406-239-7959 or trevor@montanaguidingcompany.com.
