We are officially turning the page to the Fall season here in western Montana. With Fall fishing comes mayflies, flat water, and rising fish. We had a great summer of fly fishing here in Montana. Early Summer brought us fantastic times on the Missouri River, followed by one of the best times of the year on our local waters in June. In July and August, we explored some new water on the east side of the divide, adding the Madison and Yellowstone rivers into the mix.
As the weather starts to cool and the clouds roll in, fish will become more active to put on the fall feed before winter. Leaves will start to turn in late September and the mayflies will follow. The month of October is one of our favorite times of year to fish. Beautiful scenery, quiet rivers, and rising trout. A superb way to wrap up the fishing season. See you out on the water.
Remember, the best guides fill up fast, many months ahead of time. Call Montana Guiding Company Outfitter Trevor Anderson at 406-239-7959 to make a reservation. We look forward to seeing you on the water this year!
